PH5 Mini Lamp – Green

Poul Henningsen designed the PH 5 in 1958 as a reaction against the many alterations that light bulb manufacturers were making to the shape and size of incandescent bulbs at the time, which Henningsen considered completely senseless. The PH 5 adapted to all types of light sources by converting everything into friendly illumination. This made the PH 5 so famous that it became synonymous with ‘the PH light’, which still illuminates even the most contemporary interiors today, just like the PH 5 Mini.

Henningsen had a distinctive scientific approach to light and designed numerous luminaires based on the three-shade system he invented in 1925 to achieve excellent glare-free illumination. He used the logarithmic spiral as a basis and achieved uniform light distribution with the multi-screen system, which reduced glare and shadows. In 2020, the PH 5 Mini Monochrome series was introduced to accentuate this striking design and offer a more contemporary look. The matt painted metal shades are available in black, white and ultra blue for the more daring decorator.
